Busy week
We have had a busy few days. After Monday and Tuesday, we were getting a lit stir crazy. We stayed home both days. Monday because it was cold cold cold, and Tuesday because it was snowing. Luckily, Oma came up on Wednesday to get some Christmas shopping done. We got to hang out with her all day long. It was so much fun, but Oma didn't get too much shopping accomplished. Then on Thursday, Daddy started his vacation. Thursday was our 4 year anniversary. Titus hung out with Allison and the boys while Jeremiah and I went out to see a movie and eat dinner. It was a very nice night. Then Friday, Titus and I went to Aunt Judy's house to bake Christmas goodies. We baked away and had a great time. Daddy got to stay home and play video games all day long. The best vacation day he could ask for. Titus has started pusing himself up on his arms when he's laying on his tummy and looking all around. I'm not sure when it started, but I just really took notice yesterday. I was putting him to bed and he kept pushing up and looking at me and smiling. Cute, but it was bedtime=) Hope everyone is doing well and staying warm in this frigid weather. Till later....

New things
I just can't get over how quickly babies change. Titus learned to shake the rattle this week. I was sitting on the floor with him and I shook the rattle in front of him. He reached up and grabbed it, then started shaking it himself. He has been loving it ever since. It's so neat to watch their little brains develop. He also loves "helping" mommy. He is so happy if I let him sit in the Bumbo in the corner of the counter while I cook or wash bottles. He likes to be involved in things. We have finally started putting some 3-6 month clothes on him. It's exciting, but kind of sad when he outgrows his old clothes. He has been eating like a champ. This week he sort of went to town and was requiring a lot more food. Can we say Growth spurt?
On Wednesday we had our friends come over and play. Titus loves little Taylin. She just talked and talked to him and made him smile. It was a good time and it was good for mommy too.

We are gearing up for the holdiays here at the Holcomb home. The house is decorated and most of the packages are wrapped. It's funny to think a difference a year makes. Last year there was no baby in our lives, this year we have a little one and next year I'll be telling Titus no 100 times a day about touching the Christmas tree. Life is so fun. I am wanting to take Titus to get his picture taken with Santa. I'll post if we get there. Hope everyone has a great week. We would love to hear from you. Merry Christmas.

Rock Chalk
Titus went to his first KU Basketball game today. He was such a good boy. He just looked around for a while, then he went to sleep. He slept through pretty much the entire first half. Can you believe that? He slept through a basketball game at Allen Fieldhouse. I guess it's nothing compared to Jake's crying, which wakes him up frequently. He did get a little upset in the second half because Sherron Collins made a couple 3 point shots and the crowd erupted. It sorted of startled him, but he got over it.
I am just constantly amazed at how quick babies change. Titus is starting to get more of a personality. He smiles all the time and he is staying alert more and more. He really likes to look at the T.V. which drives Jeremiah and I nuts. We are not big T.V. watchers, we really only watch football and a couple other shows, but Titus will turn his body to be able to see the T.V. He almost rolled from his back to his tummy straining to see the T.V. Good Grief! He is getting more and more stable with his head and is really enjoying hanging out in the Bumbo seat. He has also been in the excersaucer a few times. He's not real sure what to do with that. He sort of just hangs there right now. It seems like just yesterday he was just this little lump who ate and slept. Now he plays and talks. He also loves to look at himself in the mirror. He will smile and then smile again because he sees himself smile.
We hope that everyone is doing well and gearing up for the holidays. I want to encourage you to remember that Jesus is the reason we celebrate this time of year. However, we should celebrate Jesus' birth year round. It is because of one man that we all can have hope for eternity. He came to earth as a human to bear our sins so that we can eternal life. That is truly a reason to celebrate. So, as you go shopping, to parties, and do your holiday baking, take a moment to reflect on your relationship with Christ. It is something I need to do a lot, so please join me in doing this. Love you all.

Happy Thanksgiving
It's that time of year, that time of year when we stop to count our blessings. This year in particular I find myself feeling exceptionally grateful. I hope that you take a few minutes this holiday season to reflect on all the things for which we have to be thankful.
I am thankful for:
A beautiful baby boy who is healthy and oh so much fun.
A husband who loves me out loud even when I'm not very lovable.
A church family who took such good care of us when Titus was born.
A mom and dad who take such good care of me and are such good friends.
A cousin who has been such an encouragement to me as I adjusted to motherhood.
The ability to stay home with Titus.
Jake.
Family who has blessed us with clothes and things for Titus.
A warm house.
These are just a few of the things for which I have to be thankful. When I stop and reflect I realize how immensly God has blessed us. It is so easy to get distracted by things and think we have what we have because of our own work. But in reality every good and perfect gift comes from the Father. It is not because of righteous things we have done, but because of his Jesus' death of the cross. It is a gift, a gift we don't deserve, but God loved us enough to die on the cross for our sins. That is THE reason we have to be thankful.
Just a quick update on Titus. He continues to grow like a champ. He is smiling so much and almost giggling. He loves to play with his daddy every morning. He talks more to him than anyone else. The other day he was sitting in the bouncy seat when Jeremiah came home and peeked over the toy bar and Titus just erupted in the biggest smile. It was so cute and it warms this mommy's heart. Love you all.

It's getting cold

It's getting cold outside and I'm not sure I like it. We are loving watching Titus grow. He is getting so big. He is almost laughing and and he is becoming so alert. He loves to watch what's going on around him. The other day Jeremiah and he were playing on the floor together and he was just taking to his daddy. It was so sweet. His little personality is starting to develop and it is so fun to watch. He seems to be easy going. I'm not really sure where he got that personality trait because neither Jeremiah or I are easy going. Maybe he has to be because we are so not. He is beginning to sleep longer stretches at night something we are very thankful for.
Titus loves his cousin Walker and Walker loves him. I baby sat them the other night and Walker told me, after Jesus, he loves Titus the most. At least he has his priorities straight. Titus just smiles when Walker talks to him. Hope all of you are well as we get ready to celebrate thanksgiving. We sure have a lot to be thankful for. Oh, and congratulations Fran on becoming a grandma.

My first Halloween
Titus had fun on his first Halloween. It was beautiful weather especially for Halloween. It was in the 70's and sunny all day long. We went to the church for Trunk or Treat. We got to see all the kids in their cute costumes. We forgot to take pictures. Can you believe that? So, I put him back in his Halloween costume and took some pictures today. I still need to put him in his monster costume and get pictures of that was well. Then we cut the pumpkin that Grammy and Papa gave us and put Titus in it. He wasn't really sure what to think about the goop on his feet. Hope you enjoy the pictures. I'm off to fix dinner before we got to church tonight.

Titus has found his thumb
Titus continues to grow and change. He is really enjoying playing on the floor and looking at the toys hanging above him. He is staying awake and alert longer and longer. We just fall in love with him more and more every day. Titus has discovered his hands. He has been finding his thumb and sucking away a few times a day. I am afraid we might have a thumb sucker. I guess there could be worse things right?
The new building at church is finally finished. We had our first Sunday on October 26th. Jeremiah had been putting in a lot of hourse building the stage and it is finally done and it looks great. We are all glad to have more time together. If you are in the area, we are celebrating our open with a seminar call "The Dirt on Dinosaurs". It runs from Nov. 2-5 from 7-9 p.m. There are activities for all ages. There are even real dinosaur bones. I am excited to hear the seminars as this is a topic that really interests me. If you want more information you can look at www.crossroads-christian.org.
I have attached a video of Titus smiling away. He is growing so fast. I hope you enjoy. Oh and don't forget to vote next week.

Innocence lost
Titus had his 2 month appointment today. He weighed 10lbs. 5 oz. and was 22 inches long. That puts him in the 15th %lile for his height and the 25%ile for his weight, so he is a little guy. But, he looks fabulous. The doctor was very pleased with his weight. He did have to get his 2 month shots today and that was rough. Well, mostly is was rough on mommy. He was a champ. He stopped crying the minute I picked him up. Then, he slept most of the morning. I ran to Target to pick up a few things and halfway through Target, he started screaming. His tylenol had worn off and he was letting me know it. But, he's fed, had more tylenol and is sleeping again. But, he takes medicine great (I guess that's a good thing?)
Friday I laid Titus down on his tummy. I went to the kitchen to grab my drink, I came back and he was on his back. I thought maybe I had gotten his arm turned funny and that helped him roll. So, I put him back on his stomach and sure enough, he flipped over to his back again. He has done it a few times since then as well. I was shocked. I thought for sure the first time was a fluke, but he kept doing it. I can't believe how big he is getting.
We are excited about the Bronco game tonight. We are headed over to some friends house to watch the game and have dinner. Titus has his baby bronco socks on and is ready as well.
Hope you are all doing well and enjoying this beautiful fall weather before it gets cold later this week. The weather man said that there might be some (shhhhh, I don't want to say it to loud) snow later this week. I sure hope not. We're looking forward to the new addition at church opening up this weekend. We'll let you know how that goes.

A new life and it's great
Titus is 8 weeks old today. I can't believe how time flies. I asked Jeremiah the other day if he even remembered what it was like before Titus and we both agreed that it's hard to even remember. Things are calming down and we are settling into our new life. Titus continues to grow like a champ. He is over 10 lbs now and he is starting to get chubby cheeks and a double chin. I never thought he could get any more beautiful than he was the day he was born, but he just gets cuter every day. He is smiling at us now. Not just those sleep and gas smiles, but smile at you when you talk to him. It is so fun to see that little smile go across his face. His neck continues to get stronger and he is lifting his head more and more. It is so cool to see how he changes so quickly and learns to do new things.
We had a good time last weekend with Grammy, Papa, and Auntie Heather. It was nice to get to hang out with them for a few days. We took Titus to the pumpkin patch and tortured him by laying him on a few pumpkins trying to get the perfect picture. He pretty much slept through the whole thing in the sling. We got a really big pumpkin and plan on doing something special with it for Halloween. Keep your eyes peeled for those photos!
Jeremiah is still very busy building the stage for the new addition at the church, but it is really coming along. Opening Sunday is October 26th, so please be in prayer about that. We are all ready for things to slow down a bit so that we can have a little bit more family time.
Happy Birthday Daddy! Jeremiah will be 29 on Tuesday. Almost 30! Man he's old =)
I have lots of photos to share this time, so we'll see how many I can get up. Thank you so much for all your prayers and encouragement over the last several weeks. We humbly ask you continue to lift us up in prayer as we do many of you. Hugs and Kisses from the Holcomb's.

9 lbs. 4 oz. and 6 weeks old
Titus has really taken off. He has been gaining about 1 1/2 oz. a day for the last 3 weeks. So, we are really pleased with his growth. He is still getting several bottles a day, but we are trying to slowly increase how frequently he nurses. I am doing better balancing everything and most days I am feeling more comfortable with the way things are going.
Titus had his first tub bath yesterday. He really loves the water. When we wash his head, he totally relaxes and looks so comfortable. He is starting to sleep a little longer at night and go longer between feedings. He is so cute and fun. He loves to cuddle, which mommy loves.
We are looking forward to seeing Grammy, Papa and Auntie Heather on Friday. We love to get visits from our family. Oma and Opa like to come and visit at least once a week. I am so thankful for their visits. My mom is so much help and I wish she lived closer.
We have some friends who recently got some tough news about their baby who is due in February. Please pray that baby Boston would be healed and pray that Brian and Sarah have wisdom and peace as they face an uncertain future. If you would like more info you can visit their website at: http://www.babybostonsmarathon.blogspot.com/.

Count your many blessings see what God has done.
I realized with our problems getting Titus to gain weight, I have been preoccupied with worrying and measurements, instead of just enjoying the blessing that Titus is. We have been so blessed by this little man. He is so easy going and so darn cute too. We truly are blessed with a very happy kid who is so fun to cuddle.
Titus went to his first Bronco game on Sunday. It was hot, so mommy and Titus stood up in the shade through most of the game. It would have been more fun if the Broncos won, but it was still a great time. Uncle Josh and Aunt Alexis were in town and went to the game with us.
Last week, Titus weighed 8 lbs. 2 oz. Daddy is so excited because he can now fit in the front pack. Now Jeremiah wants to take Titus fishing.

We are looking forward to a visit from Grammy, Papa and Auntie Heather in a couple weeks. Please continue to pray the Titus would take better to breastfeeding and that he would continue to grow grow. OH, and Titus is starting to smile at us. We keep wondering if he is smiling at us, or if he is just doing an inward smile. They are fleeting, but they are oh so cute.

And some more drama
Well, Titus has put on some weight. He weighed 7lbs. 7 oz. at the Dr. on Wednesday. But, I met with the nurse practioner who works with breastfeeding moms. She found that Titus has a tongue thrusting problem that is causing him to not get much milk. He pushes the nipple out when he sucks instead of sucks it down into his mouth. So, this explains why I was having pain and probably why he wasn't gaining weight very fast. He wasn't getting very much milk. This is a problem that can possibly be fixed. He has to relearn how to suck. So we are giving him bottles and working on teaching him how to suck properly. I am pumping away to give him as much of my milk as I possibly can, hoping to eventually be able to give him all my milk. Wednesday was a very hard day for me because I was expecting good news. I had weighed him at the breastfeeding clinic and felt encouraged so I was disappointed that there was still a problem. I really want to breastfeed him and I am committed to getting him breastmilk, but I'd rather it not be permantly from a bottle. My big fear is that after a few days of bottles, he won't want to go back to breasfeeding. So, I am cheating a little bit and letting him nurse after his bottle a couple of times a day. He still is interestd even if it's just for comfort. As you can imagine, pumping every 2 hours is quite a time committment and I am struggling to figure out how to make it all work. There are lots of moms who have pumped exclusively long term successfully, so I know it can be done. My friend Chelsea had to do it with her first, so she has been a great support in all of this. But, there is some good news. Titus' newborn screen finally came back with everything normal. Thank you Jesus! After all the pricks and scares(Thank you the State of Kansas), we now have peace of mind that everything is fine.
We appreciate all our prayer warriors out there that remember us and lift us up. Here are some specific prayer requests for this week. First of all, that Titus would learn to suck correctly and that he would be able to go back to breastfeeding. Second, that I would figure out how to juggle pumping, feeding and taking care of him and the household chores. Third, both Jeremiah and I are feeling pretty worn out, so prayer for energy and strength for the both of us. Lastly, the church is getting ready to move into their new building. This means a very exciting but busy time for Jeremiah. Please pray that things would fall into place for the move and that it would be a place that lives are changed and people meet Jesus.
I look forward to seeing many of you this weekend in Topeka. Titus loves to be held so I hope your arms are ready:) I am thankful for the blessing that sweet Titus is in our lives. It is hard right now, but he's so precious it's all worth it. It is all because of what Jesus did on the cross that we live and we have reason to celebrate.

A trip to the doctor, and another and another....
Well, between Titus and I, we have been busy going to the doctor. Titus still continues to have trouble gaining weight so we are trying to figure out why that could be. We are trouble shooting and are wondering if it is a supply issue (not enough milk), or that maybe he has acid reflux so he is limiting his intake. If it is a supply issue, we are wondering if the medicine I am on for my blood pressure is causing me to have a low milk supply. I take him back next week to get him weighed again. Hopefully, we will be able to solve this problem soon. Then I had another doctors appointment and my blood pressue is still high so we are trying another medicine. Hopefully it will work, and my blood pressure will return to normal soon. Some women (I am one of the lucky ones) have more problems with high blood pressure following delivery than they did when they were pregnant. So it is not abnormal, just annoying. SO, please continue to pray that Titus would gain weight and we would figure out the cause of the problem. Also, please pray for lower blood pressure for me, so that I can go off of the blood pressure medicine. Thank you for your continued prayers and support as we continue on this journey of parenting. There's always something to worry about, huh? I am feeling pretty tired and worn out from all of this, so I would appreciate your prayers for that as well. Thankfully, we have a beautiful baby boy who is so easy to please. I hope you enjoy the latest pictures of Titus.

A fun weekend with Family
This weekend Jeremiah's brother Josh and his wife Alexis were here on their way to Colorado from Virginia. Titus had a great time meetin his Uncle Josh and Aunt Alexis. He was such a good boy and really loved to be held by his Uncle Josh. We made our first trip to Cabelas and laughed a lot together. Titus continues to grow. He is getting more and more interested in his surroundings which is fun to see. We're still trying to get him to put on a little more weight. We're going to the doctor tomorrow to have his weight checked again and hopefully he will have gained sufficient weight. Please pray that he will have gained weight and we can avoid supplementing him with formula or even breast milk in a bottle.
We are lucky he is such a happy baby. He is pretty easy to please. Feed him, change him, and hold him and he is happy. He loves to cuddle, which doesn't bother mommy. And he loves to hear daddy sing. We have been truly blessed. Please continue to pray that we will have wisdom as we parent Titus and that he will remain a healthy baby. Thanks to all for your thoughts and prayers.

Our first trip to church...
Well, we've been home a few days now and are working on adjusting to our new life with Titus. It is exhausting, but exciting nonetheless. We have gone on a couple outings since we've been home. We went to the doctor and to a friend's baptism on Thursday and then to church this morning. My wonderful friend Kim came and picked Titus and I up and we were all ready on time. Titus cooperated wonderfully. He ate and then took a nice long nap so mommy could take a shower and get ready for church. I even dried my hair! He ate right before we let so he was nice and happy when we got to church. I was a little nervous about getting ready to be somewhere, but I am thankful he cooperated so nicely. Great Aunt Connie and cousin Abbey came to visit us yesterday. We enjoyed seeing our family. Titus showed his distaste for the Wildcats, he's a smart boy =). Thank you all for your support as we have welcomed Titus home. We really appreciate the calls, cards and visits (especially visits, it helps keep mommy sane). We are looking forward to a fun weekend with Oma and then a visit from Uncle Josh and Aunt Alexis next weekend.

Breaking out of Billi Jail
We were all set to go home yesterday, but things would not be as planned. First of all, my blood pressue is still high from the delivery, so they wanted to keep me another day and up the blood pressure medicine to see if they can get it better under control. So, I was a little disappointed, but I could deal with it. Then, the pediatrician came in and said that Titus was jaundiced and needed to be put on the billi bed to keep his jaundice from getting too bad. He really doesn't like to be laid down so I knew it would be long day. He had his circumcision in the morning and then was made to lay in "billi jail" for the rest of the day. He did great in the morning, but by last night, he had had enough. And so had mommy. But, he made it through and this morning he has been bonded out. His billi rubin numbers dropped and he was released from jail. He has appeared to stop losing weight, and will hopefully start gaining again. He is such a trooper and I am so ready to take him home. We are still waiting on clearance from my doctor to go home, but we anticipate arriving at home this afternoon. I have attached a picture of Titus hanging out at the beach in his billi bed. Please continue to pray for my blood pressure to go down, that Titus would continue to eat well and for wisdom as we make parenting decisions. Thank you all for your love and support. We'll keep you updated as Titus grows. Titus can't wait to meet all of you.

Welcome to the World!

We are pleased to announce the arrival of our baby...
It is a girl named Leah
OR
A boy named Titus
So we have been calling it LEATUS the fetus...
BUT from now on we'll call him Titus David Holcomb!!!!
Titus David Holcomb was born August 22, 2008 at 2:31pm. He measured 18 1/2 inches long, and a whopping 7 lbs 4 ounces. Thank you for all of your prayers and encouragement the past several months, Our prayer is that he grows in wisdom, stature and in favor of both God and mankind!
Following Megan's NST (Non-Stress Test) Thursday afternoon we were admitted to the hospital due to a deceleration in Titus' heart rate. He had another one that evening at the hospital so they decided to keep us and induce labor. Friday afternoon after 6 hours of labor Titus had 3 or 4 more decelerations in quick succession causing the Doctors to opt for emergency C-section. The reason for the decelerations was he had his cord wrapped around his leg; So he's not the world's best jump roper yet. Megan and Titus are doing great - keep those prayers coming!
Enjoy some quick photos (attached)! And please forward this on to anyone you think would enjoy...
Enjoy the Lord

We have a deadline....
Well, this week has been a little eventful. I went to the doctor Monday and we had our monthly growth scan ultrasound. Leatus is now estimated to weigh 7lbs. 2 oz. That is the 71st percentile. Before it was in the 50%ile. So it had a growth spurt. Of course, the ultrasound can be off by a pound either way, but that's still a good size. Then I went to see my doctor in the afternoon. She started talking to me about induction. I was not prepared for that discussion. She doesn't want to let me go over because of my blood pressure. It has been fine, but she is worried that if she lets me go, it might become a problem. So, we scheduled an induction for September 3rd. I am really praying hard that baby comes on it's own before that because I would like to avoid an induction if at all possible. Jeremiah is going with me Monday and we may talk with her about some other options. Ultimately, we want a healty baby and a healthy mommy. If an induction is the best way to accomplish that, then so be it, but I also would like baby to decide when it's ready to come into the world. So, please be in prayer for that. Pray that baby comes on it's own, but whatever happens, that we have a healthy baby.
And in other good news. My roomate from college, Chelsea, welcomed a new little one to the world on Wednesday. Aiden Michael is doing great and so is mom. Congratulations Chelsea and Aaron.
Thanks for reading and we'll continue to keep you posted.

And the countdown continues...
We have just a little less than 4 weeks left until Leatus' due date. I am getting ready. I am not feeling particularly uncomfortable, but I am just getting bored with it and I'm ready to meet our baby. Last night, I dreamt that the baby had arrived, then I woke up and I was a little disappointed =( All in good time. We want a healthy baby. My blood pressure remains good (actually better than before) and baby remains healthy and moving around a lot!
Jeremiah and I have been working to put together a lot of baby items. We have a house that is beginning to look like a baby belongs here. I had a shower last week in Topeka that was tons of fun. We laughed a lot and were blessed as usual. I have another shower tomorrow at the church.
I have found one family to babysit for during the coming school year. The mother is in med school and I will be watching their son (he was born on my birthday) part time while whe attends class. So thank you for those who have been praying for that aspect of our future. Please continue to be in prayer for another part time childcare opportunity. Please also be in prayer for an easy labor and delivery. I really don't want to be induced or require drugs, so please be in prayer for that. Thank you all for your love and support. We really appreciate your love and support.
I have posted a couple of pictures. A belly picture (Heather, ask and you shall receive) and a picture of our pack n'play that we put together last night while we watched the Olympic opening ceremonies.
We will continue to keep you updated as we wait for baby Holcomb to arrive. Love you all.

The lazy days of summer =)
Well, here we are in the lazy days of summer. It is starting to get hot hot in Kansas. We are on the countdown here in the Holcomb home. Only 6 weeks left. I think Jeremiah would agree that we are both riding a roller coaster of emotions. However, his roller coaster has significantly less hills than mine. We are getting anxious and excited to meet Leatus, but then we are also a little scared of the changes that are coming and we still have a lot of things to get done. But, we are very excited.
I have been on the search for the perfect diaper bag and I was getting quite frustrated. But, I finally found "The bag" yesterday. We have been so blessed and this baby hasn't even gotten here yet. My cousin has given us a lot of hand me downs and others have blessed us with gifts. We are thankful to the way that God provides for us. Sometimes, it gets a little overwhelming, but we have faith that God will continue to richly bless us. Jeremiah and I are prayerfully looking for a family that is needing childcare. It is our hope that I would find a child to baby sit during the day to help enable me to be able to stay home. Please join us in praying for God to provide the right opportunity for our family and that we would have wisdom as we make decisions for our future.
We are missing our family and friends that are spread across the country. Please drop us a note and let us know how you are doing.

What a fabulous day!
Things around here have been pretty uneventful. Leatus has been much more cooperative at my last few NSTs. Baby is getting stronger and stronger. It is pretty cool to sit there and watch the heart rate increase as the baby moves. I will have another ultrasound tomorrow.
Jeremiah left today for CIY. They are traveling to Tennesee. He will be gone until next Saturday. This is just about the longest time we have been apart since we have been married. I'll miss him, but I'll be glad when he's back and we're both home for the rest of the summer until the baby arrives. I'm a little sad that he'll miss out on the ultrasound tomorrow, but soon we won't need one of those we will be holding that baby in our arms.
Yesteday I had a shower with my family here in Kansas City. It was a beautiful shower. My aunt and cousin did a fabulous job. I got a lof of great stuff as we are getting closer to our Leatus' arrival. The attached pictures are from yesterday's shower. We only have 7 1/2 weeks left. Can you believe how times flies? Pretty soon we'll be meeting our precious baby. And on July 4th, the newest Holcomb was born, our niece Ella.

We have one stubborn little baby!
Yesterday I had my first Non Stress Test(NST). This is a pretty simple test where they hook up a heart monitor and another monitor to see if I am having any contractions. Well, yesterday they were having a hard time getting the baby to stay put so they could monitor the heart rate. What they want to see is the baby's heart rate go up when it moves, unfortunately every time it would move they could not hear the heartbeat anymore. It was there, the baby was just moving away from the monitor. So, after 50 minutes, they sent me to do a biophysical profile which is an ultrasound that makes sure the baby is not under any stress. The baby is doing fine and was moving a lot and doing everything it should be doing. When they did the ultrasound the baby had moved to the head down position which is good and they could see a little bit of hair growing on the baby's head. Isn't technology amazing? So, I go in again tomorrow for another NST. Hopefully Leatus will be more cooperative.
Everything else is going well. We are just getting more ready for Leatus' arrival. Jeremiah came home from camp with a bug. He's been running a fever since Sunday and we're ready to be done with that. Last week I was in Arizona and I had a great time with my family and seeing my friend Chelsea. It was hot, but it was a great time. I have posted a picture of mine and Chelsea's bellies. We'll keep you updated as things change. We would love to hear from you.

Childbirth class
Today we went to our childbirth class. It was quite informative and we met quite a few characters which brought excitement to the day. I have decided that being informed is one thing, but there is no real reason to watch 4 babies being born. I am not even sure it's neccesary to watch one. But, I think we both feel more informed and a little more ready for what is to come. I am just hoping that I forget what I saw by the time September rolls around!
Our day was made even better becasue some friends of ours delivered their second girl last night. We went and visited them and she is a beautiful baby. She is so little, but doing great. We are so excited for them. Jeremiah was excited because he got to use his new camera.
We are still 3 months away from a baby, but it is already starting to take over our house. We have been slowly working on the nursery. I am attaching a picture of the crib. I couldn't wait, I had to wash the bedding. It has made it seem a little more real. However, it still doesn't seem so real.

Unveiling the newest Holcomb!
Since I am spending my summer days waiting oh so patiently to meet the newest member of our family, I thought I would pass my time starting a blog. I hope to use this as a place to keep our friends and family that are close and not so close updated on what's going on in our life. I know, like anyone cares about boring old Jeremiah and me, but I think the newest addition might capture a little more attention.
We are now 28 weeks pregnant and Leatus ( a girld named Leah or a boy named Titus) is growing just perfectly. I have had some problems with my blood pressure, so I am starting non-stress tests when I get back from Arizona. Everything else is going just great though. I am feeling great and I am finally starting to look a little pregnant. I will try to figure out how to post some pictures later today.
